About Exam

National institute of Mental Health and Neuro Science (NIMHANS)
was establised in 1974, with the coming together of the former Mental
hospital and All India institute of mental health. It is a
multidisciplinary institute dealing with mental health and
neuroscience. In 1994, it was conferred the status of a Deemed
University by the UGC. It is considered to be the frontmost institute
in the field of mental health and neurological sciences. Training,
research and clinical services are provided by this institute.

Scoring and Negative Marking

The question paper for Entrance test will contain multiple choice objective type questions. The duration of the test for each course will be 90 minutes and the number of questions to be answered is 100. 0.25 marks for all wrong answer will be deducted and no marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

Eligibility

1. B.Sc. in Nursing: 4 years duration. Minimum Qualification for Admission:
(i) Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course) OR
(ii) Senior School Certificate Examination, Pre-degree Examination (10+2) OR
(iii) An Equivalent with 12 years of Schooling from a recognized Board or University
(With Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English with a minimum of 50% aggregate)
2. B.Sc. in Radiography: 3 years duration. Minimum Qualification for Admission:
(i) Pre University Course OR
(ii) Job Oriented Diploma course from a recognized Board with Diagnostic Radiography as vocational subject or Equivalent OR
(iii) An Equivalent with 12 years of Schooling from a recognized Board
(With Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology & English)
3. B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology: 3 years duration. Minimum Qualification for Admission:
Pass in Two year Pre University Course Examination or equivalent with a Science group having secured an aggregate of 50% in Science subjects
