For admission to the Engineering / Architecture Courses, 85% seats shall be open to the candidates from within the State and 15% will be open to candidates from outside the State.
For admission to B. Tech / B. Pharmacy courses, the candidate must have appeared in CET-2009 and also fulfill the following conditions:
A. He / she has passed the 10+2 /Diploma or its equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.
(i) For Engineering Courses : Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with the one of the following subjects;
Chemistry
Biology
Biotechnology
Computer Science.
OR
Passed 10th or 10+2 examination with science stream and Passed diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal
(SLIET),
OR
Any such examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education.
OR
Have passed two years certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET) shall be eligible.
(ii) For Pharmacy Course : Passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination conducted by recognized Board / University / Council.
Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following optional subjects:-
o Mathematics
o Bio-Technology
o Computer Science and
o Biology
OR
Passed Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution affiliated to Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial training / Punjabi
University, Patiala
OR
Any other University or any State Board of Technical Education provided that the diploma or the institute is duly approved by the PCI / AICTE.
(iii) For Architecture Course :Candidates seeking admission to B. Arch. are not required to take CET - 2009
Admission to B. Architecture course shall be based on the valid NATA Scores and marks secured in the qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50. Candidate should have any one of the following qualifications:
(a) 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with Mathematics as a subject of study by securing 50% marks in
aggregate. OR
(b) 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central / State Governments with 50% aggregate marks. OR
(c) International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Matehmatics as compulsory subject of examination.
For SC, ST and OBC candidates the aggreage is 45% marks in the above said examinations.
B. Possesses a good moral character.
C. Fulfills the conditions mentioned in the Punjab Govt. notification incorporated in the Information Brochure.
D. Fulfills the requirements laid down by the University / Institution to which he / she is seeking admission.
E. Is a citizen of India.
