MHT-Engg-CET is an entrance exam conducted for admission to all private, Government, Aided & Unaided engineering universities/colleges in Maharashtra for Undergraduate Engineering courses.
Eligibility of Maharashtra State Candidate and OMS candidate for appearing for MHT-CET Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed/appeared* the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination i.e. HSC (Std. XII) or its equivalent examination during the academic year and whose results are not declared till the last date of submission of application form are eligible to appear for MHT-CET
Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate and Outside Maharashtra State Candidate for admission to first year of degree courses in Engineering/Technology Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics AND Secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together AND Obtained a non zero score in subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together at MHT-CET
Eligibility criteria for GOI nominees Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.
Eligibility criteria for J & K Migrant candidates Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.
Syllabi of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics for the MHTCET will be the same as for the current year for HSC Examination of HSC Board of Maharashtra.
The medium for examination shall be English or Marathi or Urdu for
Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, Mathematics paper shall be in
English only. The option once exercised about the medium by the
candidate shall be irrevocable.The MHT-CET will consist of three question papers. Each paper is of 100 marks.
