Post Basic BSc Nursing (OPENNET-I) Duration: 3 years
The
Bed programme offered b4e IGNOU is an innovative programme utilizing
self instructional materials and information technology along with
interactive personal contact programmmes. The programme is essentially a
judicious mix of theoretical and practical courses to develop in
practicing teacher’s appropriate knowledge, skills, understanding and
attitudes.
The BEd programme of IGNOU is recognized by the NCTE vides their letter No. F3/DL-83/99/7807-7812 dated 31.05.1999 and is offered in NCTE approved training colleges in the country.
The admission to this programme is on the basis of an entrance test to be conducted on Sunday august 21, 2011 at all India level.
Eligibility for Bed Admission:
Medium of Instruction: English and Hindi
1. A Bachelor's degree or a Higher Degree with fifty (50%) percent marks from a recognized University. However, the requirement of 50% marks shall not apply to the teachers appointed prior to the commencement of NCTE Regulation Norms and Procedures, second amendment regulation dated 30.03.2010 and Gazette Notification DT. 26/07/2010.
2. Serving teachers with two years (2 years) full time teaching experience in a Government or Government Recognized School.
3. The reservation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central/State Government whichever is applicable. There shall be relaxation of 5% marks for them.
Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination (Bachelors/Higher Degree) and the results are awaited can also apply.
There is no age bar for admission to the Programme.
Filled-in form should be submitted at the concerned Regional Centre under whose jurisdiction the school where he/she is working falls on or before 15th July, 2011.
Working teachers sponsored by the various state are exempted from entrance test
Eligibility for BSc Nursing (Opennet - I) Admission:
Medium of Instruction: English
10+2 with three years Diploma in General nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with minimum of two years experience in the profession. (For male nurses or nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.
OR
10th class (Matriculation) or its equivalent with three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with minimum of five years experience in the profession. (For male nurses or nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM Programme should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery).
SELECTION CRITERIA
The admission to this programme is on the basis of an Entrance Test to be conducted on Sunday, 21st August, 2011 at all India level.
