M.D. and D.P.M. The selection will depend upon marks obtained in the entrance examination. The entrance test will be of MCQ type consisting of 100 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. There will be 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer. The test will have questions of MBBS standard in the following approximate distribution: 20% from Psychiatry and allied behavioural sciences 15% from Neurology 30% from General Medicine 35% from rest of Medical subjects
Ph.D. IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY, M.PHIL IN MEDICAL AND SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY, M.PHIL IN PSYCHIATRIC SOCIAL WORK COURSES also the entrance test will be of MCQ type consisting of 100 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. The test will have questions of M.A. /M.Sc./MSW standard. There will be 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer.
For Diploma in Psychiatric nursing course there shall not be a written entrance examination. However, there will be an interview for the selection of the candidates.

M.D. (Psychiatry), Diploma in Psychological Medicine M.B.B.S. degree of any University recognized by Medical Council of India, with one year rotating Internship completed by February, 15, 2012. Exemption of one year is granted to those who have passed Diploma of 2 years duration in the same subject
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology First Class Master’s degree in Psychology regular Course or M.Phil in Medical & Social Psychology/ Clinical Psychology of any recognized University, for 3 years and 2 years course respectively.
M.Phil in Medical & Social Psychology M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology regular course of a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.
M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work M.A. in Sociology or Social Work regular course of a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.
Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing ‘A’ Grade Certificate or Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.
15%, 7 ½% and 27% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and OBC candidates respectively, subject to availability of such candidates. There shall also be reservation of 3% horizontal reservation for physically-handicapped persons { only for locomotory disabilities of lower limbs between 50% to 70% or as per the Govt. of India Rules in this regard} subject to availability of such candidates. If suitable candidates are not available under the reserved categories, seats will be filled up by General category candidates. There is no reservation in Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology course.
