For Admission to
B.A.M.S. (Ayurvedacharyya), B.H.M.S. (Homoeopathy), B.Sc. Nursing,
Physiotherapy (Degree) and B.U.M.S. (Bachelor of Unani Medicine &
Surgery) courses in different Government/Private Ayurvedic/Homeopathic
Medical Colleges, Nursing/Physiotherapy and Unani Colleges/Institutes of
West Bengal during the academic session 2011-2012 through Joint
Entrance Test-2011 (JENPARH-2011) to be conducted by West Bengal Joint
Entrance Examinations Board.
A written test will be conducted in Paper – I : Biological Sciences - 100 marks (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.) Paper – II : Physics & Chemistry – 100 marks (2 p.m. – 4 p.m.)
Eligibility Criteria : Applicant must be a citizen of India.
Age : Not less than 17 years as on 31st December, 2011 for all courses.
(a) BAMS, BHMS, Physiotherapy and BUMS : The
applicant having passed / appeared / due to appear in the year 2011 at
the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination
recognised by the West Bengal Council of H. S. Education with English,
Physics, Chemistry, Biology and also Vernacular or any other 5th
subject.
(b) Nursing : Only female candidates having passed
/ appeared / due to appear in the year 2011 at the Higher Secondary
Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognized by West
Bengal University of Health Sciences with 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) in
the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together with
pass marks in each subject individually are eligible.
Residential Criteria : (a) BAMS, BHMS, Physiotherapy and BUMS:
Candidates must have been residing in the State of West Bengal
uninterruptedly for a minimum period of 10 (ten) years as on 31.12.2010
or their parents must be permanent residents of West Bengal having their
permanent home addresses in the State of West Bengal. (b) Nursing: For admission to government colleges, the candidates either have been residing in the State of West Bengal uninterruptedly for not less than 10 years as on 31.12.2010 or their parents must be permanent residents in the State of West Bengal having their permanent home addresses in the State of West Bengal. However, candidates of States other than West Bengal may be considered for admission to non-government Nursing Colleges/Institutions.
Reservation of seats: For SC/ST /PC candidates State Government rules will be followed.
