IIIT-A uses CAT
Score for short-listing the candidate for our MBA-IT (2 Years) full
time Post Graduate Program in Management. IIMs have no role either in
the selection process or in conduct of the program.
- NRI/Sponsored/FN/SAARC (supernumerary seats) 5
- Seats for Physically Handicapped (PH) candidate: 3% of total with horizontal reservation.
Reservations for various categories as per GoI guidelines apply. In
case application of some other reservation has to be brought in force
and likewise seats would be adjusted and it may be incorporated.
- Candidates appearing in Qualifying Degree Examinations may also apply. [If final result is likely to be declared by 1st July 2011]
Candidate interested for more than one program needs to fill in a separate form.
Admission shall be made strictly on the basis of Merit ONLY, as per the following weightage:
- Entrance Test: 50%
- CAT Score: 30%
- Group Discussion: 10%
- Interview: 10%
Technical & IT Aptitude:
Designed to measure aptitude for working with computers, this measures individual’s natural aptitude for computers and problem solving. It will measure ability in the following five areas: Recognition of similarities and differences, Syntax, Procedural Ability, Programming construct & Sequencing.
Designed to check the logical capabilities of the individual by usage of the following, Abduction reasoning; Analogical reasoning; Cause-and-effect reasoning; Cause-to-effects reasoning; Effects-to-cause reasoning; Comparative reasoning; Conditional reasoning; Criteria reasoning; Decompositional reasoning; Deductive reasoning; Inductive reasoning
