Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test -RPMT is conducted for admission of candidates on seats in M.B.B.S./B.D.S./B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses in various government and private colleges affiliated with the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur.
No candidate is allowed to be admitted to the Medical curriculum of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) Course until :
1. He / She shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, on the year of admission.
2. He or she has passed the qualifying examination as under:
The Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 after a period of 12 year study. The last 2 years study must comprise of Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English as compulsory subjects.
3. Other Eligibility Criteria as per Certificate No. 3(C) mentioned in Form "A" :
I. The candidate has studied for the last three years of qualifying examination continuously as a regular candidate in a recognized institution in Rajasthan.
II. Natural Father/Mother of the candidate has continuously resided in Rajasthan for the period of last 10 years and candidate has studied for at least 5 years during this period in a recognized educational institution in Rajasthan.
III. Additional Criterion for eligibility (as per University of Rajasthan, notification no 11(2) 2001 / Acad J/14336M dated 21-04-2001) All those students who are bona fide residents of Rajasthan but are studying in other states will also be eligible for appearing at Pre-Medical Test.
IV, V & VI. The candidate is son/ daughter of serving or retired employee of Government of Rajasthan including officers of All India Services, State cadres of Rajasthan or Undertaking/Corporation / Improvement Trust/ Municipal Bodies duly constituted by the Government of Rajasthan by an act of Law or any of the University of Rajasthan or Secondary Board of Education( Rajasthan) provided that employee has worked in Rajasthan for three years preceding the last date of submission of the application.
VII & VIII. Candidate is a son/daughter of a permanent employee of Indian Defence service serving/ Retired and the employee is either of Rajasthan origin irrespective of his place of posting or is posted in Rajasthan on the last date of the application for admission. Provided that in case of Defence Personnel from Rajasthan origin, a certificate has to be submitted by them from the employer to the effect that his state of origin is Rajasthan at the time of his entry into service. The domicile requirement for the wards of the Defence personnel from the State of Rajasthan but serving in other State is waived off. For wards of Defence personnel from other States but serving in the State of Rajasthan, the domicile condition is waived off to enable them to appear in the entrance test and be selected in general quota.
IX & X. Candidate is a Son/Daughter of serving/Retired person of Para Military Forces of India and the employee is either of Rajasthan origin irrespective of his place of posting or is posted in Rajasthan on the last date of the application for admission Provided that in case of Para Military personnel from the Rajasthan origin, a certificate has to be submitted by them from the employer to the effect that his state of origin is Rajasthan at the time of his entry into service.
XI. Candidate is a Son/Daughter of a Judge of Rajasthan High Court subject to the condition that he/she submits an undertaking / affidavit stating that such benefit is not being claimed or availed by them in any other State.

Each question paper is of 300 marks and contains about 100 objective type questions .

Each question has four options to answer

(+3) marks is awarded for each correct answer

'0' for un attempted questions

Bonus 3 marks will be given in case of each doubtful/wrong question.
