Common Entrance Test for Pondicherry Private Medical Colleges(CETPPMC)
is an entrance examination for admission to MBBS course in Private
Medical Colleges in Pondicherry. The governing body of the examination
is the Pondicherry Linguistic & Religious Minority Medical &
Dental Colleges Welfare Association. Candidates can only appear once
for CETPPMC though SC/ST candidates can appear twice for CETPPMC.

There will be 2 papers consisting of objective type questions of 2 hours each:
Paper I: Physics & Chemistry
Paper II: Botany & Zoology

Eligibility

Eligibility for Admission
As
per pre-requisite for admission under the Management Quota to
M.B.;B.S., Degree Course, Candidates must have appeared in CETPPMC –
2010. However, mere appearance in CETPPMC – 2010 will not automatically
qualify a candidate for admission to MBBS Degree Course. For admission
to MBBS Degree Course, the candidate should fulfill the necessary
admission requirements prescribed by Government of Pondicherry for that degree course.
Minimum Academic Qualification
Candidate
for admission to the first year MBBS Degree Course should have passed
the H.Sc.,(Academic), examination conducted by the Board of Higher
Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination
with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40 % for SC/OBC) in the
following subjects:
Biology (Botany & Zoology)/Physics/Chemistry.
The candidate should also have taken English as one of the subjects.
Age Limit
Candidates should be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2010. However, no upper age limit has been prescribed.
