Candidates should take a print out of the online application after submission
The signed copy of the print out along
with demand draft/challan for Rs 300/- (Rs three hundred only) (for
SC/ST Rs 100/- only) remitted under Calicut University Fund
(CUF)/(demand draft should be drawn in favour of the Finance Officer,
University of Calicut payable at State Bank of Travancore, Calicut
University branch), attested copies of SSLC (to prove age), BPE/B.P.Ed
mark lists, degree certificates, equivalence certificate, community/Non
creamy layer/BP (forward caste), service certificate (form IV) should
reach the office of the Deputy Director, Department of Physical
Education, Calicut University Campus, Calicyt University PO, Malappuram
Distt, Kerala-673635 on or before the last date notified by the
University
Application fee once remitted will not be refunded in any case and fee paid in other modes of payment will not be accepted
Eligibility: The minimum educational qualification for admission to the M.P.Ed (Regular) course shall
be a pass in the three year BPE or one year B.P.Ed of this University
or any other University duly recognized by the University of Calicut
and the minimum sports achievements should be a second place in the
Inter Collegiate or Inter district competitions (AIU recognized sports)
conducted by the Universities in Kerala or recognized sports
associations approved by the Kerala Sports Council
Age Limit: The upper age limit for the admission to the M.P.Ed course shall be 25 years as on the 01st July of the year of admission Relaxation upto 5 years in age shall be given to those candidates who
have participated in Inter University Tournaments or National Level
Tournaments or in service candidates (Physical Education Teachers) with
minimum of 3 years experience and deputed by the appointing authority
and SC/ST candidates Admission Criteria:
Admission test 100 marks; Physical fitness test 15 marks (50 mts Run,
4x10 mts shuttle run, sit ups in one minute, standing broad jump, pull
ups/flexed arm hang, 600 mts run); written test 50 marks (BPE, B.P.Ed
syllabus); sports proficiency test 25 marks (in one major sports
discipline); sports achievements 10 marks (maximum); International
medal winner 10 marks; National/Inter University first 9 marks;
National/Inter University second 8 marks; National/Inter University
third 7 marks; State/ University representation 6 marks; State first 4
marks; State second/University first 3 marks; State third/University
second 1 mark Selection:
The rank list will be published immediately after the selection trials
and the candidates selected should join the course immediately by
paying the prescribed fees and submit the original certificates of SSLC
(to prove age), qualifying certificate, T.C. and conduct certificate
(from the institution last studied)
Employed candidate should submit no objection certificate from the employer
Seats falling vacant on account of non
payment of fees/dues within the prescribed period, on disqualification
or those vacated by candidates themselves will be filled from the
waiting list in the order of merit according to university rules and
regulations
