(b) Sale by Post: Admission Brochure along with Application Form (detachable) can also be obtained through registered/speed post. A request in this regard should be sent to the Joint Registrar (Academic), Administrative
Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector-16C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075 alongwith the following :
- An application on plain paper, addressed to the Joint Registrar (Academic) requesting to issue Admission Brochure-X for PG Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management. The application should clearly mention the name and the address of the applicant;
- A Demand Draft of Rs.1100/- (Rupees One Thousand One Hundred only) drawn in favour of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, payable at Delhi. The name, address and phone number of the applicant should be clearly mentioned on the back side of the Demand Draft/Pay Order;
- A self-addressed envelope of size not less than 24cms x 30cms.

This one year regular course is designed to prepare professionals for
managerial roles within the primary, secondary and tertiary education
sector to develop and enhance their knowledge, skills, competencies,
and sensitivity for building sustainable institutions through effective
leadership
Eligibility Conditions
(a) The candidates eligible to apply for the PGDELM programme (Programme Code- 398) should be a Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. Preference will be given to those working in the education sector and having a degree or diploma in Education.
(b) Sponsored Candidates: Two seats are reserved for the sponsored candidates fulfilling the required qualification.
Admission Criteria
The eligible candidates shall be selected on the basis of a Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Based on the performance in Written Test, GD and Personal Interview, a merit list shall be prepared.
Admissions will be made strictly on merit basis. The merit will be prepared by following criteria:
(a) The merit list shall be prepared based on the combined merit of the written test of 50 marks, group discussion of 30 marks and personal interview of 20 marks.
(b) Inter-Se Merit: In case of a tie, i.e. candidate obtaining equal marks after the combined merit drawn on the basis of Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview, the candidate having more experience in the field of education with respect to teaching/administration shall be preferred. If a tie still exists, the candidate older in age shall be preferred.
Selection Procedure
The candidates, fulfilling the eligibility criteria, shall be selected on the basis of a Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview on issues pertaining to educational planning, leadership and management as well as teacher education.
The merit list shall be prepared based on the performance of the candidate in written test, group discussion and personal interview.
Syllabus of Written Test
A written test shall be conducted by the school to judge the managerial skills and leadership acumen.
Schedule of Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview
The Written Test shall be held at Dwarka Campus, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector 16C, Dwarka, New Delhi - 110075 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on the 16th of July, 2012. This shall be followed by a group discussion and personal interview on the 17th and 18th of July, 2012. The schedule of group discussion and personal interview shall be displayed on the university's website at 5:00 pm on the 16th of July, 2012.
The candidates are required to check the university's website regularly for any unforseen change in the schedule.
The number of seats in the PG Diploma course in Educational Leadership and Management (PGDELM) is 25 being offered at the University School of Education.
The Written Test shall be held at Dwarka Campus, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector 16C, Dwarka, New Delhi - 110075 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on the 16th of July, 2012.
