Application Process (Applications for admission for Merit based on overall AIEEE-2012 Ranking) The admissions to the above programs shall be made on the basis of merit drawn on the overall ranking in AIEEE-2012 examination.
Candidates must therefore appear in the AIEEE-2012 conducted by the CBSE. Further, the candidates must also fill in the separate OMR based application form, as provided or apply online.
Candidate can apply through any one of the three ways as follows:
Register Online (Using Demand Draft)—Do not forget to post hard copy of the application to Registrar JIIT, after filling the online application.
- Log on to www.jiit.ac.in and click on – AIEEE Based Admissions 2012 or directly log on to www.getadmissions.com/jaypee.
- Thereafter, candidate will be prompted to fill up the application.
- There is an option of attaching/uploading the photograph on the online application itself. In such a case take a print out with photo affixed on the online application and send it to the Registrar, JIIT, along-with the Demand Draft. In case you are not able to upload the photograph, then you should take a printout and affix recent colored passport size photograph on the printout and send it to the Registrar, JIIT along-with the Demand Draft.
- In both cases you should make a photocopy and retain it for your records.
- The Demand Draft (DD) should be of Rs. 900/- in favor of “Jaypee Institute of Information Technology” payable at Noida/Delhi.
- The print out of application along with DD should be sent to the Registrar, JIIT, Noida on the address provided below.
- Do not send the application without ID number which would have been generated automatically on freezing the form while you fill the same on the net .
- Write the application ID No. behind the DD also.
- Write “ONLINE REGISTRATION WITH DEMAND DRAFT” on the envelope before posting.
Register Online (Using net banking/Credit/Debit Card)
- Log on to www.jiit.ac.in and click on – AIEEE Based Admissions 2012 or directly log on to www.getadmissions.com/jaypee.
- Thereafter, candidate will be prompted to fill up the application and make the payment through credit/debit card/net banking.
- Once the payment has been successfully made the candidate shall be allotted Application ID number, which must be saved for future reference.
- There is an option of attaching/uploading the photograph on the online application itself. In such a case take a print out with photo affixed on the online application and send it to the Registrar, JIIT. In case you are not able to upload the photograph, then you should take a printout and affix recent colored passport size photograph on the printout and send it to the Registrar, JIIT

- Write “ONLINE REGISTRATION-Internet Banking ” on the envelope before posting
Obtain the Application Form from any of the Institutes/bank branches of IDBI Bank. (candidates who procure the brochure and application form after payment of Rs 900/-, are not required to make any further payment while submitting the application form)
- The Application Form can be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs. 900/- in favor of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, payable at Noida/Delhi.
- The forms are also available through cash at all the three Institutes
- The form may be collected from selected branches of IDBI Bank as per advertisement and the list of bank branches as loaded on the website.
Important to note.
- It is mandatory to write AIEEE-2012 Roll number before submission of application form. Applications received without the AIEEE Roll Number shall be rejected and Candidate shall have no claim for the Merit list.
- Candidates are required to ensure that the completed Application Form reaches on or before the last date i.e. 30 May, 2012. Applications received after the last date will not be accepted and candidate shall have no claim for the Merit list.
- The hosting of the Application Forms on the web site shall be done in phased manner. Therefore the candidates are required to remain in touch with the respective websites of the Institutes for the latest updation and also required to take the necessary action as per the information hosted on the website from time to time.
- Candidates shall generally be able to see the receipt details of their applications and essential data on the web site only after 15 April 2012 or 15-20 days of submission of the form thereafter. Non receipt of application is responsibility of the candidate.
- Candidates are also advised to keep the original receipt of the Speed Post / Regd. Post issued by the post office and the photocopy of the filled in Application Form. In any case all issues regarding non receipt of form must be resolved before declaration of merit. No appeals thereafter are acceptable

Eligibility Criteria for All Programs (Except for Biology/Biotechnology based admission to Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and B.Pharmacy programs)
Criteria of subjects in 10+2 exam: The minimum academic qualification for admission to any one of the programs is as laid down by AIEEE. The candidate should have a pass in the 10+2 or its equivalent* with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science as optional subjects.
Equivalent examination to 10+2
- The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
- Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
- Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian
- Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
- H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
- A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
- 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.
Criteria of year of Qualifying Examination
- Only those candidates are eligible to apply who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in the year 2010 or 2011; or
- Those candidates appearing in the final examination of 10+2 or equivalent in 2012 are also eligible for consideration of provisional admission. All candidates who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) to the University authority latest by September 30, 2012 failing which, such provisional admission will stand cancelled. If the results in qualifying examinations are likely to be declared after September 30, 2012 the candidates are advised to seek admission next year as no representations for extension of dates for any reason whatsoever, shall be entertained.
Criteria for Date of Birth Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1991 (Date of Birth as recorded in the High School/Secondary Education Board/University Certificate only will be taken as authentic) are eligible to apply for admission.
General Instructions on conditions of Eligibility
- Candidates must produce certificate of proof of the above conditions at the time of counseling failing which they will be disqualified.
- If an applicant is found ineligible even at a later date after admission to the University, his/her admission will stand cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents of the candidates. The decision of the Admissions Committee of the University regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final.
