AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATION FORMS
- The application form can be downloaded from websites www.bhu.ac.in or www.imsbhu.nic.in.
- It can also be obtained by post by sending a written request to the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi - 221005 through the registered post along with a MICR Demand Draft/ Bankers cheque of Rs 100/- drawn in favour of Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, payable at Varanasi along with two self addressed slips (06 X 10cm). The last date for receiving requisition for supplying application form by post is 3rd April, 2012. Money orders or cheques will not be accepted.
- It can also be obtained from counter of office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi on submission of a MICR Demand Draft/ Bankers cheque of Rs 100/- in favour of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, payable at Varanasi, between 16th February, 2012 and 13th April, 2012.
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS
- Candidate must fill all the four pages of the application form.
- The application form, completed in all respects should reach the office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi – 221005 on or before 16.04.2012 (5.00 PM). The envelope containing the application should be superscribed “APPLICATION FOR Ayurveda Vachaspati [MD (Ay)]/Ayurveda Dhanwantari [MS (Ay)] COURSE - 2012”. Advance photocopy, Fax or e-Mail copies of the application will not be accepted.
- Duly completed application must be accompanied with an MICR Demand Draft of Rs 1,600/- in case of general and OBC category (Rs 1000/- for SC and ST) (applicable to both internal and external candidates) drawn in favour of DIRECTOR, IMS, BHU on a nationalized bank (preferably State Bank of India/ Bank of Baroda) and payable at Varanasi. Money orders or cheques will not be accepted.
- Incomplete applications in any respect will be summarily rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- Applications received after the last date will not be entertained on any ground including postal delay.

BHU Announces Admission to BSc Nursing & BPharm (Ay) through Entrance Test -2012
Applications are invited for the course of BSc Nursing in the College of Nursing at Institute of Medical Sciences, B.H.U., Varanasi & BPharm (Ay) at The Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkacha, Mirzapur Dist., under Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi.
- The candidate holding BAMS or equivalent degree recognized by BHU and CCIM.
- The candidate holding MBBS degree recognized by MCI.
- The candidate should have passed I.Sc. (Biology) or equivalent examination recognized by BHU.
- All the candidates (except MBBS) must have qualified with Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Intermediate or equivalent examination or as a part of BAMS examination recognized by Banaras Hindu University.
- The candidate must have completed minimum 12 months Internship (4 ½ years BAMS Course) / 6 months Internship (5 years BAMS Course) by 31.7.2012 after passing the final professional examination.
- The maximum age limit for the General and OBC candidates will be 35 years as on 31.7.2012 (relaxed up to 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates). There is no maximum age limit for the sponsored candidate.
- In case of the foreign nationals the degree must have approval of the CCIM or MCI as equivalent to the corresponding examination for admission.
- Temporary registration as medical practitioner of foreign nationals is essential. CCIM or MCI should approve their registration valid for study period.
- Institutional Candidate means who have passed final professional BAMS examination of December 2010 from Faculty of Ayurveda, IMS, BHU and likely to complete their internship on or before 31-7-2012.
BSc Nursing BPharm (Ay)
There shall be one paper consisting 180 multiple choice questions from all the specialties including modern counterpart of Ayurvedic specialties. The duration of test will be 2 ½ hrs.
For MBBS graduate there will be a separate paper.
The qualifying marks for the General category will be 50%, 45% for General PC candidates, 40% in case of OBC (Non Creamy layer)/SC/ST category and respective PC candidates.
