NITIE admission Application Procedure: Interested candidates should apply to NITIE through on-line mode only:
1. NITIE admission Online Application: Candidates can fill the application form ONLINE. For details and instructions please visit NITIE's Official Application Fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- in case of SC/ST/PD candidates) and applicable bank charges can be paid in the form of challan (downloadable from NITIE website) in any branch of State Bank of India. Hard copy of the filled-in On-line Application duly signed by the candidate should be sent to the address given below along with Institute’s copy of the challan and copies of the relevant certificates as mentioned in the Instructions.
2. NITIE admission For PGDISEM and PGDITM Courses: Few seats are available to Industry Sponsored Candidates. The candidates applying under the Industry Sponsored Category should also fill-in the Sponsorship Form. CAT is not required.
Engineering/Technology
graduates in any branch with first class (relax able by 5% in case of
SC/ST/PD candidates) and with valid CAT score (Common Admission Test).
Admission is based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview with appropriate weight age to CAT score. As per the Govt. of India
rules, reservation of seats exists for SC/ST/OBC and PD candidates.
SC/ST candidates are granted financial assistance as per the scheme of
Govt. of India vide letters no. 11016/19/2005.
SCD-I dated 21.06.2007 & No. 19012/36/05-Education dated 27.06.2007
subject to the satisfactory fulfillment of terms and conditions
mentioned therein. Final Year Engineering/Technology candidates can also
apply, provided they secure the qualifying degree with first class
before June 20, 2012. Only short listed candidates will be called for
Group Discussion and Personal Interview at NITIE, Mumbai.
General Instructions
1) Candidates should have Bachelor's Degree with First Division(60% marks or more as per your University regulations or equivalent CGPA) in any branch of Engineering / Technology or equivalent (5% concession in case of SC/ST/PD candidates).
2) Candidates should take up the Common Admission Test (CAT 2011) conducted by the IIMs in order to apply for the Programs.
3) Candidates should give their preferences while choosing the courses they want to apply to. The preferences cannot be changed after submitting the application.
4) Candidates who are currently in their final year of Engineering/Technology degree can also apply. They are required to:
a) Complete their examination, viva voce etc, by June 2012. b) Submit the final year mark-sheet and provisional certificate by September 2012. c) The final results should indicate First Division as mentioned in Sr. No. 1 (5% concession in case of SC/ST/PD candidates), else the admission to the program stands withdrawn.
5) Candidates should convert CGPA into appropriate percentage.
6) Duration of work experience specified, if any, should be after graduation.
7) Reservation for SC/ST/PD and OBC(Non-Creamy) candidates is as per the Government of India rules.
8) Certificates in support of SC/ST/PD/OBC Non-Creamy Layer have to be produced.
9) The Application Fee is Rs.1000/-(Rs 500/- in case of SC/ST/PD candidates).
a) The Application Fee is to be deposited with any branch of SBI with the prescribed Challan downloadable from the Payment Details page, along with the necessary transaction charges. b) The details of payment of fees are to be provided to complete the filling up of the application form. c) The fees cannot be transferred online to the A/C No provided. It has to be physically deposited in any of the branches of SBI. d) You can make an online payment through ICollect on www.onlinesbi.com, for further instruction please download ICollect instructions from downloads section on the left hand side menu.
10) Once CAT results are out, the candidates are requested to submit the CAT scores online without any delay.
11) Candidate should submit photocopy of CAT score card by registered post only, and should reach NITIE on or before 4 February 2012.
12) Original CAT score and Call letter would be required at the time of Group Discussion / Personal Interview to be held at NITIE.
